The first thing that came to my mind when tasting this rum was apple juice. It of course has the classic Cuban rum profile but the apple note somehow stood out to me. It sits nicely between the 3-year and 7-year offering although I prefer both of them over the 5-year. When I want to drink a fresh rum I go for the 3 and when I want a bit more matured taste I choose the 7. The 5 is somewhere lost in limbo.
