A 6.5 on my scale. A solid rum with a decent oak flavor. Hard time describing it as "Perfect" though.

Tested neat, chilled glass. No nose, light amber color, very little depth, definite double wood taste as advertised, slight sweetness linger. It has a smooth finish. Cost $60 including tax, a bit high for this one. I believe the red box and designer phrasing added more anticipation than reality. PS this one is from Panama per the label, not Barbados shown on header page.

Sweet, super smooth, not too complicated. Tasted side by side with the XO, and they really donโ€™t seem that different. XO is a better value, but I enjoyed both.

I like this one quite a bit! It is sweet, with some alcohol on the nose, but that seems to disappear in the mouth. Very nice spices; cinnamon, clove, black pepper, vanilla. Some tropical fruitiness, and sweet. Nice hints of the cognac finishing, but not overdone. Some pleasant bitterness and molasses to the medium finish. A nice sipping rum.

One of the best low price point rums out there for under 50. Keep as your basic go to for sipping

Man, you can't get much better than this for a sipping rum. This is a must have RUM in your bar.

Just bought this last night. I found it to be a wonderful sipping rum.

Sweet happiness-very good rum with honey, caramel, almonds, cinnamon, alcohol velvet like. Yes, I enjoyed.

Very nice to sip. It's also very very sweet. It's also not cheap. For the money I would probably just grab Kaniche XO in the future and save $10. I don't need to pay for another red box anyway. I find the XO just about as enjoyable.

I am planning on soon comparing Perfeccion to Zacapa 23 and Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva

Before going further this rum is from Panama not Barbados. It is bottled by Mason Ferrand in France after a second aging in old Brandy Cask. Sounds like Plantation to me. Anyway down to just rum light amber hue, nutmeg and allspice on the nose, lots of depth to this one sweet on the tongue with cinnamon allspice and nutmeg. Bring on the holidays, this is an easy to drink rum lots of island spice flavors smooth and sweet. I prefer a heavier rum with more depth, fan of heavier bourbon aging but this excellent rum and excellent value.

Bought this because Total Wine and Spirits gave this a 91 rating and it was just $40. Very dry. Reminds me of Plantation Xaymaca with a slight funk to it. Non distinct flavor. Slight burn.
