Rum tasting with my buddy in Prague. Continued onwards with Sansibar 17y from Panama. Very nice and unique bottle and label design. Light golden color. Oak and sweetness to your nose and palate. Very strong and dry burn at the end. Far from the 25y Sansibar smoothness.
Beautiful straw color going on light gold. The nose is typical on Jamaïcain rum with exotic fruits that explode like pineapple and banana. But also green apple, butter, yeast or beer.
On the palate, one arrives on the spices with the pepper, the fruits are always present with the pineapple and the apple. Nice final in the mouth but it lacks for me a little power. The price is around 189€.
