Tasted in Bothell WA at Northshore Lagoon, June 27 2023
Appearance: gold
Aroma: Ivory soap, caramel and vanilla
Flavor: YUM! So much cinnamon and nutmeg! This could be a mixer or a sipper, either one, the point is that it is quite tasty.

Tasted at North Shore Lagoon tiki bar on 6/27/23. Pours rich Gold in color a bit darker than the regular rum. Cinnamon gingerbread cookie aroma. This is not offensive. Big cinnamon with companion burn. No odd chemical aftertaste. For the style, I like it.

40% ABV rum from Troutdale, Oregon, offered at McMenamins.

An interesting nose: Orange peel, cacao, cinnamon, herbs, slightly bitter and medicinal. P: Very smooth, but slightly numbing. Only slightly sweet, with a balanced bitterness and a medium-short finish.

This is easily the most interesting spiced rums I've tried. It's bold and adventurous, with a unique infusion of herbs and spices more reminiscent of an amaro. Though a challenge to drink neat, I would try this is a Jungle Bird or even a Negroni. It could be amazing in an eggnog.

If you live in Oregon or western Washington, odds are you're familiar with McMenamin's. Edgefield is their flagship campus and likely where they brew this, hence the name of the distillery.

It's not terrible, but i can't say as I am super impressed. It's better than most other rums hailing from the United States, but that's not saying much. The United States isn't known for being good at making rum, just drinking it.
