Get This from à friend out Suriname.
Nice light color, the nose is soft sweet and fruity. Tast is great.
I know better rums but Its Ok

Surinam je pro mě velká neznámá. Rum má velmi příjemnou plnou vůni, to by se mohlo prodávat jako pánská vůně. Chuťově bych řekl, že se jedná o jemnou verzi Kubánského rumu.

Very good as neat. Not even worth using ice with this one. Medium dark color, good oakey taste, not too sweet, but not dry either.

There is slight caramel and fruits on nose; flavour is very interesting, from leather, tobacco, minerals, medium sugar

Sattes kupferfarbenes Bernstein im Glas.
In der Nase sehr dezent, getoastetes Holz mit saurem Karamell, nasses Moos mit Kakao bepudert, frisch geschnittene unreife Früchte, Heu, Liebstöckel und Nelken runden das ganze ab.
Im Gaumen weich und schon fast zu sanft, leckere Kakao Noten und Holz Töne streichen über die Zunge, saure Kirschen, Karamell, Nelken, Kardamom...…
Im Abgang nicht so lang aber lecker, Honig, Schokolade, Holz....
Ein ganz spezieller Rum der wie der schräge Zwillingsbruder eines Demerara Rum wirkt. Durchaus und jedem Entdecker zu empfehlen. 7+

Rich copper-coloured amber in the glass.
In the nose very discreet, toasted wood with sour caramel, wet moss powdered with cocoa, freshly cut unripe fruits, hay, lovage and cloves complete the whole.
In the palate soft and almost too soft, tasty cocoa notes and wood tones spread over the tongue, sour cherries, caramel, cloves, cardamom.......
In the finish not so long but tasty, honey, chocolate, wood.....
A very special rum that appears like the weird twin brother of a Demerara rum. Absolutely and every discoverer to recommend. 7+

V celku prijemny kousek, kde bych si koupil i celou lahev. Ve vuni lehky karamel, vanilka a orisky. V chuti citron a dub s prijemnym dokoncenim.

A dark amber shines in the glass. The nose is very alluring with various citrus notes hinting at grapefruit and pomelo along with brown sugar. It’s kinda mineralised. In the mouth you still get the citrus fruits and brown sugar but also oak and tobacco on the finish. It’s medium bodied, aromatic and decently rounded. Reminding me a bit of el dorado 12, but not quite as sweet. Thoroughly enjoyable. 7,5.

This run was recommended by a friend owning a liquor specialising in rum. I am used to drinking Santa Teresa 1796. I found the strong oak barrel taste at first irritating. However, after the second glass my taste buds got used to it and the rum has a rich unique taste with a fantastic finish. I like it as much, or better, than my best cognac. I am on my 4th bottle just to make sure. I would take it over most premium dark rums. Highly recommended. No too sweet. I would not waste it for mixing or with ice .... not would be a crime.
