Na samostatné pitie pre mňa určite nie. Do mix drinkov áno ale solo nie. Nasladlá vôňa ( banán), chuť karamel, čokoláda.
Vôňa 6/10
Chuť 4/10

- vůně typická příjemná nasládlá Dominikánská republika, jemná, pomeranč, banán
- chuť nasládlá, opět jemná ořechy a rozinky

Inferior by far to the Bacoo 12 year, but this is still a pleasant mixer, vanilla bean and oak-heavy.
Not bad.

Aroma is weaker, taste is not complex with some added sugar. Aftertaste is short with some burning.
I Europe is now labeled 7y due to new norms.

Not very complex on the nose or palate but has a fair bit of vanilla to enjoy. A good bang for your buck though.

I was expecting a subpar, boring rum, but it’s very good for the price. Spicy oak balanced with rich vanilla and baking spices. Solid

Not great, but definitely not bad. Best mixed with cola, sadly.

Bought a bottle of Bacoo 8 year old rum from DR with relatively high hopes since I scored the 12y Bacoo 9 but this 8y rum is far from the older sibling. Bottle and label design are identical. They are very nice for a sub $30 rum. Color is surprisingly dark for an 8y rum, so coloring is most likely being used. Nose reveals a faint vanilla and butterscotch, but you have to pay attention or you will miss it. Palate and afterburn is absolutely nothing! Very disappointing indeed. The 8y Bacoo is like a watered down version of something with a sliver of potential. 12y Bacoo 9 versus 8y Bacoo struggles to earn a 6.

A dark rum that can be sipped, but most of the time mixed. I felt it was a good value for the price and will buy again.
