I enjoy using a pretty good rum to make my rum and coke (diet coke). This one works great, at a decent price.

First impression, good all rounder. The after taste is reminiscent of vanilla, raisins and oak but it's not striking, you have to find it. Slightly sweet and nutty as it hits the tongue. Not as smooth as I thought it would be for the price.

I am not fan of this rum. A taste of petrol comes up to much. Don't like this.

Nothing spectacular. A Little bit thin, but nevertheless a good choice for a normal evening

I'll start with the good. It has a pleasent citrus and frute smell and it feels very smooth in the mouth. . but then the bad news comes. No complexity at all for a 15y solera. It tastes more like a 3y old and there is nothing left from the good smell. After 2seconds the ethanol kicks in and kills any chance of a good taste. My wife even said her tongue hurted from the ethanol. I won't buy this one again. Only ok thing: the price. 21€ for 15y solero isn't that bad. I would suggest to put some water drops in it or let it breath for some time before drinking it. Maybe then the taste will survive a bit longer and thicken

I enjoy this rum. Find it every so often for around $40. The nose is sweet with caramel, molasses, vanilla and toffee. The palate has some of the same flavor a, though muted. I don't find much wood flavor in this rum and for me, I like that. It is decently smooth. Since it's a solera aged rum, I believe the younger rums over take the older in this blend, hence why the reviews come out so half hearted. You will find a bit of burn in the finish. Overall this is a decent rum. Are there others that are better in this price point, yes. Are there any that taste like this one, no. It's truly a different rum in my opinion. Would love to sample the 18yr to see the difference.

This rum is not for the cozy evening drink. It is superb for partying when your tastebuds are a little out of sync.

Not bad but quite thin and has the rough aftertaste of a cheaper rum
