Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-year rum is produced using a combination of rums aged on average 15 years and distilled from molasses using the solera process.

A very pungent smell and taste that i find difficult to drink on its own. It reminds me of coffee beans burned too harsh.

I really struggled to tell the difference between this and the 10 year old Classico. I give it a 5 one point higher than the 10 solely for its age. Not because it is any better...or different. Very forgettable.

Has some sweet but it’s more smoky and oaky overall. Spicy notes with and good smoked wood flavor. It’s definitely a sipper but could be more refined, guess that’s why you get the next step the 18.

Vůně mírně kávová a chuť vynikající, mírně kávová a jemná.

Didn’t really do anything for me . Nice looking bottle/label drew me in but felt a bit let down by the taste.

A little on the sweeter side but smooth and enjoyable to sip. I prefer the 23 year

I am still quite inexperienced with rum tasting, but I really loved this one. Nice hint of vanilla that I personally really like. Would recomend in a heartbeat.

This rum doesn't have a real good taste. Its flavour is mostrly covered by alcohol taste, but anyway has notes of molasses and a sweet aftertaste. I wouldn't recommend it as a good rum, but for its price it can be a good deal imho (you can find it for around 20 euros, which is the bare minimal for a decent rum). For starters, it's an ok choice.
