Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-year rum is produced using a combination of rums aged on average 15 years and distilled from molasses using the solera process.
The Matusalem company was established in 1872 originally in Santiago de Cuba. The company fled the country following the Cuban Revolution in 1959 and the Gran Reserva rum is now produced in the Dominican Republic.

It's true that it is a bit thin, but as I mix it with ginger ale, I don't really mind.
I think it is decent value, I buy it to tide me over for a couple of drinks in the evening.

I had this several years ago on a cruise ship and not since. Harsh in the mouth, not much flavour, thin. Not a good buy for the price.

Easy rum, not to complicated and not to sweet. Price - Quality is good. Perfect rum to start your rumjourney!

I expected a lot more from a 15 year old rum. It is somehow watery and not very tasty.

I wasn't wowed by this at all, it was pretty good. Nothing much to write about, but good for a mid range sipper.

A very pleasant experience. Smooth and good flavour but falters when put up against other rums like the Diplomatico Reserva and some Plantations.

Too alcoholic for me but it's OK. A little expensive for what it offers . I using this rum to make my rum and coke.
