Dominican Republic | Aged | 40% ABV
Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-year rum is produced using a combination of rums aged on average 15 years and distilled from molasses using the solera process.
The Matusalem company was established in 1872 originally in Santiago de Cuba. The company fled the country following the Cuban Revolution in 1959 and the Gran Reserva rum is now produced in the Dominican Republic.

I am not fan of this rum. A taste of petrol comes up to much. Don't like this.
very disappointed with this one, not cheap but not as good as the name, not complexe, short taste and thin, without any character, It tasted good but just sweet and annoying .. i won't buy it again
This has sat in my cabinet for over a year and I have no memories associated with it...hmmmm...Ran out of Diplomatico Gran Reserva, so I had some of this and, well...virtually no flavor or umpf...don't waste your money...
Nice dark rum, with a hint of caramel. Works well on its own. Haven't tried it with cola yet
Rien à dire de plus !
5/10, prix un peu trop cher pour la qualité du produit
Ron Zacapa Centenario 15 Rum - er lige skrap nok i smagen
trop d'alcool sur le palais, manque de longueur et de caractère.
il faut privilégier le 23 ans pour se faire vraiment plaisir.
I am always trying to buy a "gem" under $30, so I bought Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-Year. It was not a gem. It had overpower alcohol smell, dry....It is probably ok to mix with something, but would you wait 15 years to mix it with coke.
Smooth and very well blended.
"The aftertaste is quite spicy and hot. Not in an alcohol burn way."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Smooth but standard

It's smooth to the pallet, but very standard. Muscovado, molasses, vanilla, a hint of oranges. Very strong and a little awkward alcohol smell when you first meet the glass. I think I'd rather use this as a mixer or to do rum raisins for ice cream. Kind of disappointing since this 15 year old cost a bit and is supposed to be one of their flagships...
