Truly a high end drink for a discriminating rum connoisseur. A little high on the sweetness scale for me but it is a quality rum.

Do not like it much. Dry and artifical vanila flavour. Noting more. Cuban style but it is very thin. Little harsh in palate.

There are better rums in this price range , but its drinkable.

Decent rum, similarly priced to Captain Morgan Spiced and with a far subtler aroma. Highly recommended for mixers, not a great sipping experience.

Alcohol, not smooth, nothing interesting in it. Good only in mixed drinks.

I'm not sure why I would continue to buy this when the 15 and 18 are much better. If price versus taste is the consideration, we shouldn't be reviewing and rating rums - or anything else. In this case, we have a good rum that can be recommended to most, but I would more strongly recommend going for the 15 or 18 instead.

Got this for around 20 €. Not a very intering taste. Its the typicall "solera" talk. Pretending to be 10 years old, while in reality most of the content is much younger.

Rum bol pomerne nevýrazný, bez nejakej dominujucej chuti. Chuť sa podobala na kapitána.

This rum for a 10 year solera blender appears exceptionally young. The rum is incredibly light due to its Cuban Style but has less flavor than the platino offering. There is very little wood or barrel influence even compared to rums aged for just 2 years that are not solera. While this rum is much smoother in the middle than Platino it has lost its vigor and I actually prefer the platino straight up compared to this. The aroma is fairly subdued with slight spice and vanilla. The rum itself offers several edges initially and also on its finish but offers little flavor in the middle with vanilla and slight brown sugar and butterscotch. Overall not terrible but not one I would recommend due to the lack of flavor it should have due to its 10 year solera mark.

Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Dominikánská republika
Aroma: Dominující složkou je kůže, pak trocha vanilky a laku. Vůně je dost výrazná, to se mi líbí. (84 b)
Chuť: Příjemně nasládlý rum, vanilkový. Mísí se v něm jak jemnost, tak ostrost, která je znát zejména v dochuti. (82 b)
Body: 83
Shrnutí: V přímém souboji s kostarickým Centenario 9y Conmemorativo u mě vyhrál Matusalém díky lepší a výraznější vůni, v chuti byly oba rumy srovnatelné, s podobným chuťovým profilem.
