First I should say I love St. Lucia rum so this is right up my alley i love admirlal rodney and chairmans reserve. This is exactly what you’d expect from the location but at barrel stregnth. At 60% abv it burns but so good. Think chairmans reserve but full force

What a great bottling of Hamilton. Was able to find this one at a bar in St Augustine, FL called Boat Drinks. Lucky for me the owner was able to sell me a bottle of this beautiful rum.

Saint Lucia rums are certainly unique and often terribly hard to find in the states. The Binny's in Chicago tend to carry them, especially the big one off Marcey St.

At 59% abv its undoubtedly going to be hot. Medium-bodied and quite dry, no added sugars or coloring to my knowledge. It gives me an odd impression of smoked meats, and has a somewhat bitter phenolic quality that I kinda like. Quite wood-driven but also with plenty of noticeable body from the distillate. A little heady, and not much fruitiness.

I drink it with an ice cube/ball as a sipper on special occasions. I imagine this would sweeten up and expand with a good cigar, I'll have to try it sometime. Might also rock as an old-fashioned.

Smells like man working on road. Fortunately tastes better but nothing remarkable to me. In fairness I don’t care for agricole

This is a cask strength big hogo funky rum. A great sipper, a great mixer for tiki - especially at cask strength. Aged in oak, this rum has flavor to spare.
