Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
Great looking bottle... very classy, the aroma was pleasant and then the came the first sip... had a bit of bite but no lingering after burn... it was surprisingly very smooth, I like that nothing is added to it like additional sugar/preservatives. Well Dunn.
I am actually not really a rum person and certainly not straight. But with a little slice of orange kissing the rim this rum was fantastic. I will definitely keep a bottle at home.
wow...was I surprised when I first tried Noxx & Dunn. The packaging first caught my eye on the shelf with it's bold graphics and colour positioned right beside one of it's well established competitors that I usually purchase. Extremely smooth on the rocks, full bodied flavour, nice finsh. Step out of your comfort zone and give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!
I used to drink Mount Gay and liked it, but I was introduced to Noxx & Dunn and I really enjoyed it.
I found it to be a very tasty rum with water. I have definitely switched but I only wish our LCBO stores in Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake would stock it. I have to drive to Toronto from Niagara on the Lake.
Tried this newcomer last night at a bar in Toronto. The barman suggested we try it neat, over ice with a thin slice of orange peel. Winner!!!
A nice hint of oak and a smooth finish. Just like the bottle says: Great on the rocks, in your favourite cocktail or with a splash of whatever...
Love the modern look of this brand and the fact that it has no preservatives makes it a clean drink. On the rocks with a slice of orange, blended with coconut and banana, or in a Caesar all amazing. I even used it as a baste in my cooking for pulled pork and ribs! Delicious!
This rum is not very good. I drink it straight on the rocks. It smells ok, but bad flavour and even worse after taste.... not impressed
I drink all my rums neat. I don't like cocktails or mixes so take this review with that in mind.
I don't know why, maybe the oak, but this actually boarders on tasting like a bad Scotch. That rum flavour is barely present. For the same price point its a no brainer to reach for El Dorado 5 year.
I should have known by the dust on the bottles.
At the table in a New York City restaurant next to me I overheard a group of guys talking about “this unbelievable rum” and that they were going to be bringing it for this big NFL party..the way they were swooning kind of made me laugh. Long story short one of the guys must’ve heard me and he turned around and I said “oh I don’t mean to laugh I think it’s just so cool that you guys are so into this rum” … He then gave me the name of the rum, where to buy it etc..so I did... they guys are right, it’s so much more than what you’d expect a rum to taste like...I drink it over ice, and it’s smooth, with a little kick at the end of each taste. So happy that those guys shared it with me that I thought I would post a review here and pass it forward.
This gorgeous bottle has a very smooth taste with a bit of spice. I am normally a scotch sipper but I really enjoy this rum as an alternate.
This rum did not disappoint! Over ice with a splash of soda and a slice of orange was perfection. Sipping allowed for savoring the small bite and clean finish. And with no preservatives, this rum is my new go-to. Very smooth, very tasty.
We’ll ask for Noxx&Dunn when we’re out. Makes for a better night when they have it.
We’re also happy that the LCBO carries it...
At first try a bit of a burn in the finish. Nest time I will try with a dash of water or small cube.
Sweet and a bit woody. Not a sipper but nice with sprite. Gold light colour. Neet smell not sweet not alcohol too much. A special herbal light taste
Carefully selected rums aged in the humid Florida climate for 2,4 and 5 years are blended to create this flavourful and rich rum. The rich colour is directly imparted from the barrel which also imparts light spice.
