Chairman's Reserve White Label

I bought this having visited the island a few years back. In fact that is where my passion for rum started, so I think that just adds to the disappointment when I received this rum.
I really don't think it really tastes like rum to be honest and just didn't enjoy it at all.

Had a rum tasting on a sunny afternoon, because why not. Chairman's Reserve White Label Rum bottle and label design looks decent but nothing special. Pure alcohol and nasty artificial flavors to the nose and palate. Strong burn at the end. Just barely mixable.

Can't help it, must have something to collect, so why not rum ?
