Flawed with a glimmer of hope
Rum tasting in the Bahamas continues with Almirante Añejo. Pretty okay bottle and label design. Reddish mahogany color. Plenty of oak and a massive amount of unaged alcohol to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Dry and short burn at the end. Definitely better when mixed up with your favorite soda.
Whilst a perfectly acceptable base for a rum and coke combo my advice would be to search your soul and ask if you could afford another couple of Euro for the Almirante Ron Viejo? Let’s be fair, what do you expect at 5 Euro a bottle?
