To meet the market of flavoured, reduced alcohol content main stream taste....not the true sipping Kraken...
Itโs good if you need a weaker rum. But if strength doesnโt matter get the regular kraken.
Not my kind of rum. Really dark and sugary. Tastes of pepper, mint and liquorice. Smells of coffee. Good in a pinch i suppose but Id rather not have a spiced rum. I do applaud the fact that it doesn't taste of vanilla like so many spiced rums. Save your money for a normal rum.
This stuff has some flavor, but it's very artificial. It's spiced party/bar rum for mixing. That's about it. The first time I had it, I thought it was nice. When I mixed it with Coke it reminded me of Kirkland Signature Spiced Rum which is quite awful. I couldn't finish the drink. I just didn't taste natural.
For the same money get some Plantation 3 Star, or Original Dark.
I received a bottle has a gift last Christmas. It was ok, but sort of reminded be of a kids cough syrup. Not in a totally bad way, but not in a great one either. Sickly sweet meets a hint of something nicely familiar. Lots better mixed.
Maybe good for mixing. But didnt Bring anything good toch thรฉ table (rumwise)
I picked up a mini bottle of this bc it looked cool and I wanted to see how it compared to the original white label Kraken. The flavor that really POPS OUT is marshmallow vanilla. Definitely smoother than the original being only 70 proof and will make for a fantastic Vanilla-Coke tasting cocktail. It's sippable if u like that sort of sugar added flavor/spice to a younger rum sorta thing, however I wouldn't categorize it as a sipper.
Not the greatest from the kraken line up, steer clear of this one and go with the original
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Its a different flavor as the Kraken Spiced flavor! Its a good option for the Cubas Libres.
