Malibu Coconut Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and blended with coconut and sugar. The brand is owned by one of the world's largest spirits producers, Pernod Ricard.
Currently produced in Canada, Malibu Coconut rum was originally made in Curaçao from fruit spirits flavored with coconut and rum. The original recipe was developed as a shortcut for bartenders making Piña Coladas, however today the stands on its own.
good with pineapple juice
As coconut flavoured rum goes it's fine, but really it's just pre-pubescent party piss.
Zkoušel to už asi každý.
Cheap imitation of better rums. Either move toward a real rum with higher alcohol content or a better coconut flavor if it is desired. Try Old Master if you want a rich coconut flavor to make your island drinks pop.
Being a student I have had this a ton at parties where miraculously people enjoy it, but unless used in cocktails not worth your time. Ingredient list rather scary as well.
I remember much years younger when I had a taste of this on a flight, remember it tasting like coconut soap and thought it taste good. Now mature in the tongue and patiently savoring the flavors, this is just rough candied coconut that has some rum. The throat feel is like an okay wine, but this is a distilled product! Didn't have this as a mix, so probably better as that. If given to me, I would pass.
Tasty beverage, refreshing. Delicious with pineapple juice. In Spain is the only version of Malibu I can get.
This is in no way rum. It's just a liqueur with a strong coconut flavor.
This is not rum!!
Liqueur only for mixing drinks!
Not a real fan of coconut, but even with the gimmick of coconut this is still average rum
Really isn't rum Really isn't rum Really isn't rum Really isn't rum Because I have write something here.
Not sure why this is even on such a site, but hey ho. Seriously sweet, no real rum taste - this is school girl party cocktail mixer at best.
I got this for my wife, taste it once never again. I don’t like coconut lol.
I like to mix it with coke...even with some juices it is fine. If you like very sweet liqueurs you may as well drink it pure on ice.
I have one bottle always on the shelf...lady killer :)
It's much better as a mixer than it is as a rum. In fact, I couldn't drink this any other way. It's sickly sweet which is fine in a cocktail.
I like rum, I like coconut, I like rum with a little coconut water too, but a rum flavoured with coconut...I'll pass in this case.
Its a good product for the Pinas Coladas, its too sweet to drink it in other way!
Not recommended to drink straight, but fantastic blenderd with chokomilk. Never thought of it as a rum, but just as a great mixer.
This is a something you add to a mix drink to give it a tropical flavor, but you still need to add real rum to the drink.
Don't see this as an rum. Smells like coconutmilk and taste like it to. Pineapple juice and malibu together is a classic drink at the poolparty.
Malibu is great for mixed drinks. Its very sweet and isnt a real rum in my opinion, just a popular drink.
Není to rum.
