Malibu Coconut Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and blended with coconut and sugar. The brand is owned by one of the world's largest spirits producers, Pernod Ricard.
Currently produced in Canada, Malibu Coconut rum was originally made in Curaçao from fruit spirits flavored with coconut and rum. The original recipe was developed as a shortcut for bartenders making Piña Coladas, however today the stands on its own.

ce n'es pas vraiment du rhum pour moi...
juste un petit plaisir que je consommais entres amis avant, dans ma jeunesse.
et même si je n'en consomme plus depuis longtemps, j'en ai un bon souvenir.

I won't compare this to an actual rum, but for the coconut-drink that it is, it tastes strangely refreshing, with a clear strong coconut scent and flavour. Great for mixers.

In college my sophomore year right before I could legally drink I recall Malibu and Coke was my standby. Ah those were the days. It may be a quasi rum and a weak one at that, but few bring back memories like Malibu and dreams of a tropical sunset :)

Jeg er og bliver vild med Malibu, som jeg første gang smagte på en Bar i Rønne på Bornholm.
Jeg nyder den helst med Seven Up, eller også Straight Up.
Begge dele er for mig en stor nydelse!
Duft: Du er ikke i tvivl om at det netop er kokus
Farven: Klar
Smag: Nyd den i stue temperatur eller med Seven Up, der smager den
allerbedst!
Jeg har fået købt lidt forskelligt ind, så nu går den store rom jagt i gang :)

Den er en kende for sød til mig i dag.
Great to use in sweet tropical drinks that aren't complex just straight up sweet and easy to guzzle

Terrible taste is masked nicely by coconut flavouring. Cheap and crummy.

I dont really consider this a rum but it still is, as for my rating its at the lower end with other spiced and flavoured rums. Do injoy this on a beach in the Sun

Good for cocktails, tropical taste. I like with batida coconut, milk, on the rocks.

Hawaii tropic suntan lotion you can drink and get a buzz. Not bad in coffee on vacation. 3 bottles from my kids sitting here for 6 years still.
