Malibu Coconut Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and blended with coconut and sugar. The brand is owned by one of the world's largest spirits producers, Pernod Ricard.
Currently produced in Canada, Malibu Coconut rum was originally made in Curaçao from fruit spirits flavored with coconut and rum. The original recipe was developed as a shortcut for bartenders making Piña Coladas, however today the stands on its own.

Dette kan vist nærmest kun kaldes likør. Men er en god smagsgiver i mange drinks
Nothing great..cram a pineapple in the bottle..stick a straw in..dont need to dirty a glass..
Taste awfully sweet and coconutty... nothing more, nothing less... does wonders in several cocktails with (lots) of other ingredients though.
I think this forum caters to those who would like to be rum aficionados, so this one will likely get low ratings. Let's face it, its a mixer, the light beer of rums, but at least it is consistent. It doesn't taste bad or have a rude aftertaste so for light summer cocktails " Why Not "
For those new to drinking it's a nice set of training wheels.

Why is this drink in a rum app? This is not rum! This is so sweet that you hardly taste the chemical flavour. But whether that's positive.. not really. Just don't.
