Malibu Coconut Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and blended with coconut and sugar. The brand is owned by one of the world's largest spirits producers, Pernod Ricard.
Currently produced in Canada, Malibu Coconut rum was originally made in Curaçao from fruit spirits flavored with coconut and rum. The original recipe was developed as a shortcut for bartenders making Piña Coladas, however today the stands on its own.

Weak, sugar and artificial. Blue chair bay coconut is by far the superior choice or parrot bay 90 proof.
Good in a pinch for backyard tiki drinks
A rum that has a same problem. To expensive for what it does and the quality of it being so mass produced (because of the brand) is dropping would advice to look for another brand that can do the same for much less.

Malibu is fun but its just not rum! Its a sugar packed coconut liquor that's used to make fruity drinks. It's mixed in drinks with rum, but to call it rum is just pain silly. Still, for what its used for it works.
I found the coconut too strong I wouldn't have this again
Not something I really look to drink wouldn't go out my way for it
I drink this mostly as a liqueur. It's very sweet and coconut flavour is dominant. But I like sweet and I like coconut :D Also perfect for drink mixing.
I do not know who can drink it straight. very aromatic. Excellent for Pina Colada.
I guess if there's nothing else to drink this will do in a pinch, but it feels like you're drinking suntan lotion. Maybe a drink if you're in your 20s, but after that, I'm not too sure!
Lets be honest, the last time a drank this it was on accident.

Dette kan vist nærmest kun kaldes likør. Men er en god smagsgiver i mange drinks
