Malibu Coconut Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and blended with coconut and sugar. The brand is owned by one of the world's largest spirits producers, Pernod Ricard.
Currently produced in Canada, Malibu Coconut rum was originally made in Curaçao from fruit spirits flavored with coconut and rum. The original recipe was developed as a shortcut for bartenders making Piña Coladas, however today the stands on its own.

Cheap imitation of better rums. Either move toward a real rum with higher alcohol content or a better coconut flavor if it is desired. Try Old Master if you want a rich coconut flavor to make your island drinks pop.
It is an okay mixer but otherwise I am not sure it could be called a rum...
But it's pretty good.
Delidelicate 18% alcohol with a slight sweet taste. Smell is definitely the biggest advantage of Malibu but it's not enough.
Great to drink with milk but it's light alcohol...
Cette boisson, qui n'est pas un rhum, n'a rien à faire dans le classement de RumRatings.
Pas bon, et de toute façon hors compétition...
This is the rum that started my Rum Love Affair. Makes Awesome Pina Coladas as well as Rum n Cokes. Not the best for straight sipping as its very sweet.
Nothing to do with rum, overly sweet and synthetic.
Works in drinks on a rare occation, but thats it. Nothing else. Wouldn't call it rum!
This is very sweet and easy to drink , a little bit sickly but then i added a measure of Mt. Gay XO to it , now thats more like it !!
It comes in a unique bottle, that's the only positive I have. Everything else is a fake. Fake rum, fake flavor, and a fake promise of the Caribbean paradise bottled in ... Canada. I wonder where do they grow sugar cane over there. Niagara-on-the-Lake? Anybody knows for sure?
definitly not for me! Does it even qualifies as rum?
Anyone who like drinks with umbrellas is familiar with the taste, but that does not make it any better. Awful rum, but a must keep for the average mixologist or barman.
Sugar: estimated 70 to 80 gpl. This used to be my go to Coconut Rum, but I found that it had a strange petroleum aftertaste and after a couple of drinks I was getting the start of a headache. It could be just me, but I have since switched over to Parrot Bay and won't go back to this one. My friends like this one, so to each their own.
...that is kind of cute and very recognizable.
This wretched mixture would not be found on this list but rather in the automotive section under "antifreeze".
If you want coconut Flavoured Rum, go get a Wray & Nephew's "Coco Mania" Coconut Rum from Jamaica
Why is this drink in a rum app? This is not rum! This is so sweet that you hardly taste the chemical flavour. But whether that's positive.. not really. Just don't.
This was the first rum brand I ever had. It's great as a mixer with coke or even sprite. But drinking it straight feels like you are sipping on syrup.
Fantastic in a Pina colada or mixed with a tropical juice blend! Very refreshing. Nice summer drink, poolside or at the beach
The rum to get if your in a bind I guess. I got this when I was young and have never went back to it. The coconut flavor seems too artificial and it just doesn't leave a good after taste. Best as a mixd drink of course. You could do worse
Low proof and pretty sickly. There is worse but good rum and coconut water is far better
I had this as a child, it was my introduction to spirits.
its sweet and best served in a cocktail
Je to vôbec rum? To je otázka. Pije sa príliš ľahko a najlepší je z mliekom.
Mixer only. Not really a rum. Needs a mixer to tolerate
Sure, it is not a fine sipping wine, but for a frozen Strawberry Daiquiri or Pina Colada, it is excellent.
