Malibu Coconut Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and blended with coconut and sugar. The brand is owned by one of the world's largest spirits producers, Pernod Ricard.
Currently produced in Canada, Malibu Coconut rum was originally made in Curaçao from fruit spirits flavored with coconut and rum. The original recipe was developed as a shortcut for bartenders making Piña Coladas, however today the stands on its own.
esto es la bebida oficial en panama a la hora del surf suave y ligero y con naranja natural es unico
El mejor sin duda
I tried this for the first time many many years ago and it shall aways have a fond place in my heart and for that reason alone i give it a ten
Out of Malibu's 4 Rums our favorite
This is advertised as caribbean rum with coconut flavour added to it, not just rum. They do a fantastic job of making a perfect mixer which is what this was created for. Sweet, flavourful and addictive. i'm getting exactly what i was told i would get. A staple in my liquor cabinet
My affair with rum began when I was slightly underage, and slightly more naive. Asking the barman for a 'surprise' drink luckily resulted in what is now my standard drink; Malibu and cranberry. The sharpness of cranberry with the crispness of coconut and a twinge of lime makes it my perfect drink.
Great for pina colada's or a splash mixed in with a rum and coke is great.
Malibu coconut is a classic rum that mixes well with your favorite citrus juice or cola.
So it's sold everywhere from Walgreens to Walmart. So what? Pour some Malibu, Sprite, and the juice of your choice (pineapple or orange works great) and you've got a beach drink to take you away from your worries. It's sweet, it accents a tropical/fruity drink well, and I honestly love it.
Got to be in the mood for this one. Goes down easy - too easy. Dangerous because of the desire to drink quickly.
It's a good sipping rum. Great for mixing also. Very good on ice.
Nice combination between rum and caribean. Just add ice and enjoy
Very good sweet flavored rum. I drank it straight but I assume that in cockrails it would be better.
I just love this drink by it good flavors and low on alcohol. I love it with a good ball of ice, noghing more to it. Its just a fun drink for a pre-drink before a party.
It was fairly good because the taste had too much of a pepper taste and not really coconut
Not so bad. Great with milk or with juice, or simply with ice.
It has run in it but this is really a coconut liquer. It's great mixed, what it was made for. I wouldn't drink this straight but so many great recipes call for this product. A must have.
This is the rum that started my Rum Love Affair. Makes Awesome Pina Coladas as well as Rum n Cokes. Not the best for straight sipping as its very sweet.
This was the first rum brand I ever had. It's great as a mixer with coke or even sprite. But drinking it straight feels like you are sipping on syrup.
Your tropical drinks will be much more flavorful by adding this great tasting fun rum.
I enjoy sipping it straight up.
“Mon amie laissez le bon temps rouler!”
Rating it as a mixer more than anything.
Definitely been in my cabinet for years. Good for mixers.
Malibu, Parrot Bay, and Cruzan coconut rums all taste about the same to me. I can drink this all day long mixed with coke. In the summer I like to mix with OJ.
