Destilleret hos Hampden 1998, og aftappet i 2016. 66,3%. Der findes 480 flasker i alt.

God eksplosiv smag, og dejlig lang brændende eftersmag.

In my quest to get more into the funk, I got the opportunity to try this offering from Italian bottler Rum Nation from their Rare Rums-series. I really like Hampden, so I was excited to try this one

Nose: Lots of funky herbs, Lemon, Ginger, Tar, Cloves
Taste: Ginger, Oak, Funk, Salty Brine and Cloves with a very, very long aftertaste
Overall: This is a really solid rum from Hampden at cask strength. It might be a bit to overpowering for some, but I really like it. If you want to challenge yourself or enjoy some funky power, then this rum is for you. My only problem is that the price tag is a bit to high, but apart from that, this is a really good rum.

Nice light gold color. The nose is typical Jamaican style rum with varnish, pineapple. Lot of exotic fruits. On the palate, It is very hot or even explosive. With 66.3% alcohol it's a little predictable ;-). The pineapple is still present with some chocolate notes and also spices. Very long in mouth, dry, long finish.
It is recommended to add a drop of water for the tasting but I have not tried.
