40% ABV. N: Oh man, what a nose! I have never smelled anything like it before. Glorious brine. Bananas. Flowers. Super hogo, but not like a Jamaican. Grilled red meat. Savory and slide spice notes as well. There's just so much here! After 15 minutes, either the nose has mellowed, or my nose is fatigued. P: Easy entry. A lot like some agricoles with the blend of brine and crisp sugarcane. F: Medium-short, but certainly nothing to complain about. Matt Pietrek noted a lingering finish akin to sucking a popsicle stick. I would not have made that connection myself, but he is right on the money. With no wood aging, that's all gotta be from the wooden still itself. Amazing.

Reminds me a little bit of Royal Standard, but this on a whole other level. If I have any complaints at all, it that the meaty hogo does get a little old after a while, and also 40% is kinda sad. If it were in the 45–55 range you bet I would seek out a bottle for myself immediately. 8+

Rum Society is an independent bottler. This is a fantastic white rum from Guyana (DDL). So full of flavor! A full bodied rum, right off the still, smooth and sweet, full of pot-still goodness. It's a shame this will be a limited release.
