Lots of dark molasses, spice, and vanilla. It's a flavor bomb! Makes the best Mai Tai.
In stores i often see it going from 13 to 17 euros for 0,7L bottle. price was intriguing for just having something to drink after hard day of labor, and it did not disappoint.
I have tried many rums under 20Euros in my country and this one beats all the other sub 20euro rums by miles (captainmorgan, bacardi, havana etc.)

On it's own this has too much ethanol flavors for my taste. But then again, so does every other over 10% ABV spirit as well. I like to use rum in cocktails and I'm sure this will work well in that because of the flavors this has.

I bought it after tasting a bottle of plantation XO. You definitely have a strong difference especially for the aftertaste. It is a good rum but not in the best of class to drink in shot.

Considering my other experience with this brand I just hope I just a bad bottle.
It smells like a pigsty and tastes like... an abandoned pigsty.

This is my first try with rums. I make the mistake and drink it with full of ice and coca-cola . It has full body and heavy flavor . Many said that is quality rum and i belive it, but mixed it its bad for my taste.

This is another great plantation rum! And it costs less then a Captain Morgan! But this one you can enjoy as a sipper. A CM you can't drink without coke, at least the cheaper ones. And if you want to mix it you will never go back to rums like CM. The smell is smooth full of arrak, vanilla and banana. It have a quite oaky sweet taste of vanilla, arrak, rumraisins and banana. I have a feeling that a bottle of plantation original dark will always be in my cabinet. A cold winterday blend this with hot chocolate and some whipped cream on top and you will be amazed! Go and buy now, a must have!
