I drink my rums neat and this one was a pleasant surprise. Pure sugarcane, no additives, and you can taste the purity - just a hint of sweetness at the end, that I'll have to edit this review after I put my finger on. Similar to Shellback, but not quite the coconut undertone... but a sweet undertone still.
I also made (warm) Bumbo out of this one, yum.

I usually don't go for clear or white rums. This local rum from Cannon Beach Oregon does not quite taste like anything else that I've ever had and to be honest, this isn't a rum made to be drank neat. I always try a new rum neat first before expanding. Neat, this would be a 4/10 at most. But averaging this thing out to a 5/10 because it makes a pretty darn good cuba libre. I'm usually not much for mixed drinks other than mai tais but if you like cuba libres and you happen to passing along the Oregon coast grab yourself a bottle of this. It's unique taste and smell might just be your thing.
