Not as good as hoped/expected

Single cask, cask strength rum distilled in 2000 by Sancti Spiritus their column still.
Bottled by Cadenhead's in Scotland.
Not your typical Cuban rum, more "industrial" notes as typically found in Caroni rums, but simply not as good/refined.
Glad I tried it as quite unique, but not something that would be among my first picks.
Might try it on a Cuba Libre, but too expensive to use as a mixer in my opinion.
Update: Tried this rum on the rocks (I usually drink my sipping rums neat) and it becomes a lot better. Would be between a 7 and 8, but gave it a 7 to stay consistent with my scores for other rums.
