Kraken Black Spiced

Good with Coke.... Captain Black Spiced is better...

Le Kraken est un incontournable pour les amateurs de rhum plus sucré que la normal. Très bon pour ceux qui le prenne avec de la liqueur. Pas nécessairement génial on the rock.

Bon sucré goût particulier. Se mélange bien avec liqueur. Bon achat et couleur foncé.

Really nothing spectacular (apart from the label). Not really my choice of rum

I'm a sipper of rum, and this for me is certainly sippable. Taste wise, the Dr Pepper and Vanilla descriptions are spot on, as for the other spices they're not too obvious! That said, it's a smooth rum with no afterburn despite its relatively strong alcoholic strength. I'd probably buy it again, and may even upgrade it to a 7 at some point, but I prefer a purer rum.

As everyone has their own tastes this has to be the furthest you can get from rum in my opinion. I wonder what kind of black dye they use? It appears to be a marketing gimmick product.

A bit overrated I think, but I know lots of people that love it. Does have good flavours just not great. Add it to your eggnog to bring out its best.

Smooth spiced rum. Not as good as Captain tattoo, but still smooth enough to sip on the rocks. Not bad as a rum and coke.

A strong tasting dark rum, nice level of spice. A little too strong to enjoy straight, but mixes very well.
