Trinidad and Tobago | Spiced | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4) Distilled
Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

The alcohol taste is a bit to Strong in this dark rum.
Drank on the rocks.
A lot of UK pubs and bars are stocking this rum now so it makes it easy to drink throughout the night without having to switch your drinks up too much. Lovely taste even if it doesn't do what it says on the tin. Would happily recommend it.
Ok rum and coke mixer. Once you've had this it would be a crime to revisit Captain Morgan dark turpentine.
It's one to have on the shelf for when you just want a quick drink. Good presentation but the liquid isn't much different to Cap Morgan, which after trying better rums now seems like bath water.
Tasty rum. Great looking bottle, nice colour, bargain price. Personally I prefer it in a mix, it's not my ideal choice/taste neat. But all in all, a good all rounder to have in your collection.
A külső az ami megfog, tartja a mondás...nos ez a fűszeres rumci elsőre levett a lábamról. Fantasztikusan néz ki a flaska . Illatra gazdag , sötét gyümölcsök , méz, fahéj....kólával vagy gyömbérsörrel működik igazán (szvsz) ...tisztán valahogy kicsit too much volt :/
Delicious, but not one of the bests. Still would definitely recommend! Although from reading other reviews, it either seems you love it or you hate it.
I love this in dark n stormy
Old Jamaica ginger beer a shot of stones, good squeeze of lime over ice and generous with the rum.
That's why it's always gone
Definitely not a sipper. Strong bold flavor with lots of spice making it great with any coke especially Dr. Pepper. Plus it has a cool bottle with a cool name giving your bar a little pizzazz. I'd imagine it would go great with a cherry coke if that's your thing but it's not mine.
Still looking for the perfect sipper.
One of the rums I usually end up drinking after I've had enough ale as it's usually the only decent rum available in bars where the choice is the usual top shelf crap such as CM, SJ etc. Very sweet, nice dark spices coming through and quite strong. I have it neat with a piece of ice, it's nice
This is my favorite rum. Its got a great vinlla smell and is great for rum and cokes or my favorite mix it with sprite and a limmon slice, it's great.
A caramel/treacley heavy molasses like smell. .
"There is nothing subtle about the spicing and the caramel flavour makes the rum, to my taste overly sweet."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
