Kraken Black Spiced

Out of all the rums i own this is my last dark rum choice. For now. I like it in dr. Pepper given the local bar doesnt have coke, ive learned its very nice in dr. Pepper. However for myself at home i put it in coke. The lack of love for it made me yet to try it on the rocks. Perhaps im to harsh. However, if in a bind or lack of knowledge on rums or trying to save some of you favorite or better rums, kraken is a fine choice to have a drink with.

Geniale Flasche, macht sich super in jeder Bar !
Mein Tipp: Als Alternative zu Glühwein, Kraken mit heissem Apfelsaft mischen, echt lecker !
Auch mit kaltem Apfelsaft, erfrischend im Sommer

Actually, I don't realy drink spiced rum, get more pure
But the Kraken, wow, by the mixing highlights the vanilla aroma
Great bottle, looks great in every bar!
My tip: As an alternative to mulled wine, Kraken with hot apple juice mix, really delicious!
Also with cold apple juice, refreshing in summer

Kraken is an extremely dark rum that is black in color. This rum has strong favors, and mixes will in eggnog. I wouldn't shoot this rum and I wouldn't sip this rum, for it has a terrible aftertaste of burnt sugar on the tong. However, it does mix well and the strong flavors in this rum come alive when mixed with sprite or other lime sodas.

το ήπια σε μπαρ 2 φορές και εντυπωσιάστηκα , οπότε αγόρασα ένα μπουκάλι για να το "καταβροχθίσω" με έναν φίλο στο σπίτι ........ Δε ξέρω αλλά προσγειώθηκα ( ευτυχώς ομαλά) και μας έφυγε ο ενθουσιασμός .... Καλό spice ρούμι .... πάμε να δοκιμάσουμε άλλα !!!!!!

not the kind of rum you want to drink too much of. very dark and heavy flavor. morning after effects are rough.

This is my goto for mixing. It seems to go well with anything, but doesn't overwhelm.

This is a great pick for a dark spiced on the cheap. It certainly isn't the most nuanced flavor out there, but it does a solid job mixed or with a a splash of water.

Aroma is very spicy, sweet. Taste is direct flashback to 90's pharmacy cough medicine made with alcohol, liqoirice and sweeteners. Not as thick and black, though... Some condensed cola, maybe Dr. Pepperish taste.

A different rum. Can't really say it's good or bad. You can drink it straight, but it is not a wow experience. But it works great as a mix rum.
