Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Mein 7.Rating:
Dies ist mein zweiter Spiced-Rum nach dem Captain Morgan. Ist er besser? Wir werden sehen..
Preis: ca.19-23€
Geruch:
Süße Vanille mit Karamell.
Der Alkoholgeruch steigt tief und scharf in die Nase. Vielleicht ist noch ein Hauch von Rosinen wahrzunehmen.
Geschmack pur (Note 5):
Durch die Alkoholschärfe erinnert mich der Geschmack an Marzipan! Diese beiden Komponenten bleiben durchgängig bis zum Abgang bestehen. Irgendwie ist noch etwas anderes (undefinierbares spice-iges) vorhanden. Geschmacklich nicht soo schlecht, da es sehr süß ist, aber insgesamt doch recht eindimensional.
Geschmack in Cola (Note 6):
Die Cola nimmt die Alkoholschärfe komplett raus. Der Geschmack von Süße, Vanille, Karamell und Marzipan-Gewürz bleibt.
Fazit:
Mir ist er insgesamt zu süß, zu mild und zu rund. Außerdem bekomme ich schnell Kopfschmerzen davon. Trotzdem ist er irgendwie lecker. und dem Captain Morgan unbedingt vorzuziehen! Ein anhaltender Nachgeschmack (wie beim El Dorado 12) ist leider nicht vorhanden.

Un spiced qui se déguste sur glace ou en cocktail, tres bien arrangé, un rhum qui pourra être apprécié du plus grand nombre !

A good mixer with ginger beer or gonger ale. Not recommended to drink neat.

Kraken is one of the most famous spiced rums, I´d like to reccomend it for anyone who likes spiced rums.

This is not something I'd drink straight. It's too burny. However, this will go well into a rum and coke.

Helt ok för priset om man vet att det är en del tillsatser vilket jag förutsätter. Smakar artificiellt.
