This was rough. No body at all. Harsh. I would not even choose it as a mixer. I am a big fan of Hawaii, it’s culture and mindset. This rum doesn’t reflect any of that. I am optimistic about the other Koloa rums but will completely forget this one.

From my perspective, this light rum is Koloa's best, and it's all downhill from here. I actually think they just make this one rum—no unique distillations, no aging—and then use it as the base for all their others.

It's made from sugar cane mash, so it's a bit harsh and green, but works well enough when a light rum is called for. But at this price? It's an OK souvenir if you visit, but little more.

Aroma - Lime peel followed by alcohol

Taste - Slight lime peel followed by alcohol.

For the price, there are so many better options out there.

I do love Koloa rums, at least for the work these Hawaiian rums represent, I like to support them. This white it s OK+, but a little rich 💵 wise for just a white. For white, I prefer Cruzan 2 year white as a mixer.

Light Rum isn’t my favorite so this is biased, but would be okay for a cocktail.

Not a fan of drinking white rums straight up. I prefer them mixed. This one wasn't the worst I've tried, but as with most white rums, it was a bit harsh.

A lite vanilla flavor and extremely smooth taste making it a very good mixer. I do prefer just a touch more of the defined sweetness taste good whites can give combined with a Diet Coke. Definitely worth trying and in the end its enjoyable.

Its tasty until you get to the "green". The best way to describe it is like what I imagine taking a bite of sugar cane is like. Sweet sugar. Nice, tasty and fresh sugar...sugar...sugar...and then you swallow and you taste the bitter green husk. Im sure this will mix nicely which is why I bought it. The husk will be hidden by the other flavours and it wont thicken the drink much at all as it is a very thin liquor in comparison to much of the aged rum I own.

I really like Koloa rums. Their dark and spiced rums are amazing, and this is really nice too for a white rum.

Tastes and smells of sugar cane, a peppery spice, and a hint of vanilla.

For light rums, I rate it just a bit below the Diplomatico Blanco, though I prefer the Vizcaya Cristal and especially the Banks 5-Island even more.

Another nice rum from Koloa!

Silver rum seems like a waste and this one is kind of expensive. You can get a pretty good aged rum for the same price. Now the dark, spiced and coconut koloa rums are worth a try and I am hoping to get a bottle of koloa coffee flavored rum soon.
