For those who gave this rum a 10....what are you guys smokin'?!?

This ain't even close to a ten.

You want good spiced rums go with Sailor Jerry's spiced rum or El Dorado spiced rum or Old New Orleans Cajun spiced rum or Bayou spiced rum or Black Coral spiced rum or Siesta Key spiced rum. All of which are LIGHT YEARS better than the crap found in Kilo Kai.

Those all blow Kilo Kai straight outta the water. And straight into the dumpster where it belongs.

Whoever allowed this rum to market should be indicted and found guilty of some crime. Felonious assault on the taste buds?

I knew I was in trouble the moment I took a sniff and found its odor resembling a cheap aromatherapy candle found in just about every mall. Forcing myself to sip a little I discovered that it's overloaded with not only a strong imitation vanilla extract flavor but it also has a soapy flavor to it as well.

Awful.

Down the drain it goes.

If you come across this, do not pass go, do not collect $200 and do not under any circumstances buy a bottle of this. Not even to play a prank on your buddies.

I prefer Kilo Kai Spiced :

| In mixed drinks | On the rocks | Straight up | With cola | As far away from me as possible

Guess which I choose.

[I also question those ratings of 7, 8, and 9.]

Not as much flavor as Sailor Jerry for an evening Cuba Libre

An entirely different flavor from the spiced rums I am used to drinking. Kilo Kai is overwhelmingly floral and soapy to my palate. The finish is nice: smooth, without too much alcohol burn, and with some subtle spice and fruit that linger, but the flowers are a powerful punch in the mouth. I have been keeping my distance from this one and just sampling occasionally to be sure I'm not crazy, but I'll probably try and give it away.

5 years ago I drank Kelo Kai exclusively . Loved the spice Vanilla splash. Then we moved to Tn, Al. and could not get it. Pensacola to the rescue. Publix special order. Liked it so much I ordered 5, 1.75 ML the large bottles . Figured this would do me a couple years. Light weight. VERY disapointed that there was no spice at all in it. WHAT HAPPENED.

I thought I'd try something new and picked this one up at my local liquor store. The scent is unique with an almost cinnamon overtone. Straight sipping is smooth and without burn, but it is not very interesting. Not the best rum and Coke, but I'll probably finish the bottle.

Cherry, cherry, cherry. Start, middle, and finish. If you like this flavoring in a rum it's for you. It's a smooth enough rum, and tastes like a kiddie cocktail when you mix with coke, but otherwise way too much cherry flavoring.

Sweet and flavorful. Had some with a cola and I'm ready for more.

A solid, very smooth rum. Nothing too flashy or noteworthy, but definitely an enjoyable drink!

Great aroma. Butterscitch taste with a cherry finish. A little too sweet, reminds me of a soda pop.
