With this rum I lost my innocence.
In the "90s" I brought this rum home,
As there were only Coruba, Bacardi, and Stroh-Rum in the market.
Since I noticed, that rum something delicious can be.
Slightly strong in the nose, in the mouth however aromas of sugar cane, caramel, toffee.
In the finish, everything is quickly gone.

Not so bad, but a bit too harsh compared to other V/X rums, and it tastes too much of a cheap brandy instead of having a smooth distinctive flavour.

Really good with coke but just fine with a big block of ice too.

Lighter-bodied than the Appleton 12 Year, and a little sweet to me. Definitely a valuable building block for serious mixing.

Not overwhelming in any one characteristic. A bit astringent, but not unbearable. Good mixer, relatively smooth.

Nothing special, good with coke. Bit harsh.

This rum is good for those who are looking to move up from the standard bar selections, great mixer, very good with a squeeze of lime and a pinch of sugar, and it is tolerable as a sipper.

And a good mixer for the price. I often find this in place of AE 12 year. Not as good but comparable. Mostly used as a mixer.

Appleton makes some very good rums. This one is ok, good for mixers while tailgating at a Buffett show, but not my top shelf liquor. It has decent clor, fair aroma, and the vanilla hints go good with coke zero.
