Love the thick sweetness compared to cheaper spiced rums.
Not as good as Appleton 12, but it makes an excellent mixer. Makes one of the best rum and cokes.
Its a pleasent rum to drink, and mix with. Not a cubain but a very nice rum for mojito, very well balanced and with nice vanilla flavors
It's the first bottle I always look for when I walk to the bar and when I'm looking down the isle of the local retailer. It's got strong vanilla flavour, but stays true to a more natural rum taste without getting too polluted towards the "spiced" variety. Mixes well with a splash of cola, but just as well with a light ginger orange, or apple.
Very nice rum my local keno had this its a good go to rum instead of bacardi with coke
Really good with coke but just fine with a big block of ice too.
Title says it all. Nothing better for a rum and coke. A really good squeeze of lime makes it even better.
A no frills, all around good Jamaican rum. The finish is not overly rough, but not smooth either. It could be sipped, but I prefer to use it for mixed drinks. My favorite rum for classic Mai-Tai's.
Entry-level rum in the Appleton Estate family

One of the most ancient distilleries of them all

Gives a fairly pungent scent of molasses, black pepper and sweet alcohol.
"A touch of vanilla and ginger. There is still a hit of molasses on the nose and some spiced black pepper. The rum is quite delicate initially. It is a hot spicy rum."

I like jamaica rum, it is spiced, lots of cynamon notes, caramel, vainilla, some banana, oak and tasty. It is an ambar and dense rum, medium body kind of long finish. Good for sipping great for mixing!
