Havana Club Selección de Maestros

Had it in Havana - it's getting a bump in ratings for experience because the rum itself isn't that memorable and definitely not worth the price outside of Cuba.

On my last international trip, picking up a bottle of this rum was among my top priorities. When I finally tried it at home, I was completely satisfied. This rum is flavorful and remarkably smooth. It smells heavily of dark caramel, wood, and tobacco—very comforting aromas. The mouthfeel is balanced, and the finish is long. Rather moreish. Those looking for full-bodied, off-dry, and remarkably smooth, barrel-aged rums should seek this out.

(Oh, and I imagine it pairs remarkably well with a cigar!)

Stunning Rum with 45% alc vol yet you won't have alcohol after taste at all. Burnt wood and a bit of coffe in it, had it next to a Santiago Anejo Superior 11 años and came close second to the Santiago. Great Rum for special occasion.

Rhum de cuba vraiment excellent on ne se lasse pas de le déguster tes sucré avec une finale juste un peu sec descend trop bien je l'ai adoré !

This rum is strong of taste with a "bite" in the beginning and long after taste of oak, leather and tabacco. A really good sipper in the Cuban style dry rum. For me a 7 as I am missing a little touch of sweetness.
