Ideálny na relax k cigare i keď samotný má extra neohuril a nazval by som ho "zabudnutelnym". Tých 45% mu sedí akurát. Neurazi,no výrazne nenadchne.

Smell: Just opened bottle - there are some similarities to the 8 YO but it is quite more complex, cask age maturation shows. Not a very sweet nose - tobacco, leather and aged wood mixed with rich dark sugar base, well blended – the sugar aspect does not stand out (rare). Does not feel harsh at all at 45% - definitely a quality, very rich smell.

Taste: Very slight sweetness def not a sweetened rum, rich and complex – there are layers which appears at 45% even without water. With some water – brown sugar mixed with leather notes, rich oak wood – a little bitter but not in an unpleasant way, floral tea/flower notes – quite complex and really well balanced.

8.5

Definitely worth a try for the price, especially if you like Cuban style rums!

and propably the best of the Havanna Club Line I had. The wood makes itself known and brought me chocolate, tobacco, leather. Nice complexity.
But still - imho it is too expensive for what it is. There are better options in this pricerange.

... which converts your mood into the gold )

Should not be compared to HC7. This one in different league - feels as the youngster mixed with some aged rum. I guess in 80\20. Yes, a bit of wood, tobacco, but mostly that is stream of sugar cane.

Let it breath and evaporate 45deg to 44 ). Bouquet of dried fruits, vanilla, something from aliens kitchen will trigger alchemist reaction in your mind ).

Minus one point only because the bottle gets empty too fast ;\

I first tried this rum at Ascot Racecourse and indeed I had to go back multiple times for more. This rum is very smooth and well aged. Definitely a high end rum.

Very elegant stuff, far better than the 7 years old. Something like a perfect 'fresh-oaky' balance and citrusy notes on the tongue. Not too sweet, just fine.

Lovely first impression, it has a too strong finish for me.

In my opinion, it is at least 25% too expensive. Looks like we're paying extra for the "Havana" sticker. Moderately complex, moderately long finish. Overall enjoyable, but there are better rums in this price range. I bought it because I wanted to have it in my collection as an iconic famous brand, but if you just want to buy a good one in this price range, go for something else like Mount Gay or Doorly's.
