Havana Club Añejo Especial is a blend of rums aged for up to five years produced from the fermented molasses of sugar cane harvested in Cuba. The molasses is combined with yeast and water, distilled using column stills, and aged in white oak barrels.
Havana Club was founded in 1878 by Jose Arechabala and later nationalized after the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

Never tried the real stuff but this is good smooth rum.

Not top shelf, but you have to have a Cuba Libre with Cuban rum. It's a mixing rum
Decente insieme al succo alla pera per serate allegre.
Nulla di più.
I veri rum sono altri...
Ideale tot mix, best for Cuba libre. Ik do not like to drink thuis one pure.
Nice and oaky with hints of vanilla and a little chocolate on the palate. Finishes smooth with a little heat and spice. Allspice, nutmeg and clove.
This rum is the best if you love a good cuba libre. I could drink this rum all night long with some ice - coke and lemon
Awesome versatile rum for unbeatable price tag. You can step up your Mojitos and Cuba libres with it or use it to train yourself for drinking rums neat. Rich rum taste, oaky but still with distinctive fruity sweetness. It's like Havana tried to do Spiced rum, with less annoying spicy taste and completely without spicing process (which covers up actual rum flavours).

Some oaky spicy notes.
"It’s very heavy with vanilla and the caramel and brown sugar notes are too much. The rum is quite smooth and not very rough."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I have nothing more to add to the title. It's a good rum to have as a basic but nothing special.
