Havana Club Anejo Especial

This was bought for me a birthday present. My previous experience of Havana was not memorable so I was not expecting too much. However; what I found was a smooth rum, with subtle vanilla. Maybe not comparable with Old J Spiced rum but enjoyable never the less

This rum has a nice vanilla aftertaste. Nothing amazing but great with some lime juice or with coke...

Again a rum that I often use in cocktails, some classic and some maniacal creations. If you want a versatile rum then these lower cost Havana's are really 'go to' rums. They are also great learning tools on how subtle differences in flavour profile make a good deal of difference to a cocktail.

I like to mix this rum with cola.
It is not a rum i would drink on it's own as a sipping rum.
Once you open the bottle it has a very strong smell, but when mixed with cola it smells very nice in the glass.

Je le consomme uniquement avec du coca et pour le prix (j'arrive à l'avoir pour 10-12 euros en général) c'est un bon choix pour les apéritifs

A nice rum for either sipping or mixing. Doesn't overpower the mixer.

Smooth beginning, with a slight warm bite on the back of the mouth. Almost a warm cinnamon note. Enjoyable sipping neat or with coke.
