Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

This one is one of my favorites. It can be an everyday sipper. Personally I like the tobacco notes. It reminds me of a smooth bourbon almost. Great rum.
Lots of people I get in contact with despise the Havana brand (its my job to introduce people with rums, conversate about rums and recommend them what they might like). I like to give them a sample of 7 without showing the bottle and cca 80% of them like it and then they are very suprised its Havana. What I want to say? Prejudice is a terrible thing and never let yourself judge the rum by its bottle.
Dark rum for drinking in the mix, nothing special.
Good value for money, rather sharp at the edge and typical Cuban tobacco taste
Not as good as the anejo especial which is a supermarket shelfer. I was expecting more and almost gave it a 5.
It is an ok aged rum, but when placed next to others of the same vintage (e.g. Flor De Cana 7) there is no comparison. Over-hyped in my opinion. Even if offered in PA, I would pass by.
Uno de los rones habituales para combinados por lo fácil de encontrar en bares.
Great initial smell, sweet & chocolatey. Tastes gets 8/10 for smoothness. No real sharp bite upon first sip. Nice aftertaste & only gets a 7 because the flavor, somehow doesn't live up to the odor/smell. Overall a very good rum though.
This one is a very sweet rum. Very nice with coke.
This is an more stronger to the taste isn't so sweet . Has that little burn on it. So I understand those who like to do an cuba libre to reduce that strong taste.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not bad. Bit young.

Should have gone with something a bit older. Bit smoky, which is nice if you wanna light up a cigar.
