Havana Club 7-Year

I like this Rum, great taste, good price, perfect combination with an Cuban sigar, Cohiba.
When you
Mix this Rum with coke, they call it in Cuba: Cubata. Coke with dark Rum. Cuba libre is with white Rum.

Most folks from the US will get this while traveling abroad because its Cuban. Its pretty mediocre and is okay for mixing.

Good for sipping and mixing. Nice to have as a basic presence in your collection

Good but expectations were too high. Better values from other nearby Islands.
One dimensional and on the harsh side. Lost between elegant and rustic.

My favourit base for cuba libre or other mix drinks.

Ce rhum manque de tonus; le qualificatif de "mou" me vient en tête. Comme s'il avait vieilli en ayant trop chaud et trop humide (c'est une impression...). Pas mon genre de rhum.

No structure, too soft and a "humid" feel. Not my kind.

Not very tasty, doesn't leave me with anything to latch on to, to even write about. Falls off the tongue as quickly as it comes. There are far better rums from Cuba, why is this so popular?

This rum did not smell too powerful, with just a light caramel scent. The dark bottle prevents you from seeing it's colour in the store, however in a glass it showed off a nice amber - orange tone. Too harsh for my liking as a sipper, however mellowed really nicely in a glass with Pepsi - Made a very good 'Rum and Coke'!

Very nice rum to mix with cola. Much better then a simple white rum. I like it!

I reasonable rum. I prefer to mix, because it is not smooth enough straight up
