Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.
Una obra maestra unica
Could give it a 5 but it's a nice entry cheap rum anyone can buy and that's a plus for me. What really holds me off is its leather and tobacco notes. If you do like em, could give it a 7 maybe 8. It's smooth and has a nice oaky finish but not as complex as i like em.
This is a stable mass produced rum. Can be drank on its own or good with coke.
You can still taste the difference to low cost rums but it is not an experience I want to repeat. Might be good for Cuba Libre but not for enjoying itself.
Smooth and a perfect companion to Coke. Some may enjoy sipping it, but I'll save that for the 10's.
Muy buen ron en comparacion a su precio. 7 anos de havana, especial para realizar mezclas y sobretod un buen cuba libre. De mis primeras opciones para Matrimonios. Salud!
Nice but not naughty.
Ok I like it but the brands reputation precedes itself
not sure if it's the liquid or my taste sensory each tasting but something is not quite there for me on this one.... the price point is good, though.
Sicher einer der fast überall zu bekommen ist, auch ein an sich gutes Geschmacksprofil hat und sich auch zum pur trinken noch eignet.
It's a classic. Lots of flavour, not too sweet. Not too smooth. Reasonably long flavour. Goes with any mixer, or can be sipped, but not in my first row for sipping rums. A cabinet staple.
Niente di che, rum adatto solo da mixare per fare cuba libre od altri cocktails
Uno de los mejores rones para un cubata, equilibrio de dulce y sabor, perfecto.
Good mixer for a Cuba Libre. Not so good for avec or tasting. Needs a bit of ice but no lime.
In SE Asia where I am based there is not a great selection of rums, but this is widely available and is the best I have found for the money. With coke it has a nice depth of flavour where others in the same price range just give a mouthful of caramel.
One of those bottles that is perfect, if you mix it with cola.
I expect more. it's not expensive but a this price level you can buy something better. Amber colour. Nose not too complex, sweetish. Mouth rather dry but with a little sweet drop. Slightly bitter, with taste of leather. On one side bitter but on the other sweetish. It lacks the midtones, the body. Simple. Not completely bad as a sipper but I prefer more complex flavours. Slightly better afer aeration.
Good for a party, having a good time with this bottle
A better taste than the white rhums, good to use in brown rum mixes
its not one of the best but it is certainly not a bad go to rum
Not bad in this price range at all... A little creamy...
Nicht nur für schöne Cocktails bestens geeignet. Rum old Fashion mit dem Havanna Club 7 years war hervorragend. Dieser 7 Jahre alte Rum ist besser als manch älterer Rum.
It’s a nice 7 years rum, but a bit sharp. Good for mixing.
Just a Nice rum to mix with a coke zero an a lime as well
It does the job alright, but there are definetely better options in the 25-30£ price range. I would have expected it to be much smoother given the 7-year aging.
