Havana Club 3-Year rum is produced from molasses and aged for 3 years in white oak barrels before filtering and bottling.
Havana Club rum is produced in Cuba, where the company was founded in 1878 by José Arechabala. The company was nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution and now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.
Colour: white with a bit yellow finish
Taste: differently to most bargain rums...not as alcoholic as Captain Morgan...has a burn after drinking...
Rating: I like it with coke...best "cheap"rum out there...do not drink it pure.
Dont need say something this only for mixing and something mainstream.
A really nice drink making rum. It is quite round in flavours, which is good for the cocktails.
This rum is mostly for making regular cocktails. It is nothing special.
It's a smooth rum, very smooth. With not too much burn and a slight wooden finish that makes it a very decent middle point between a gold and white rum. And, while far from perfect (that 7 could easily be a solid 6 or high 5) it might easily become a staple of your liquor cabinet.
This rum does not have an ambition to be drunk straight. Its destiny is to be used in drinks and it does it perfectly. As a very good base to almost every rum-based drink. Therefore 70%.
Finally got a chance to try this, while out of the US, and found out what I was missing out on. It is so aromatic. It is so much better than all those neutral Puerto Rican light rums that we try to use as a substitute for this.
Nice white rum for everyday use and cocktails. Simple taste, a bit hard for me.
There's not really much to say about it: very good for mixing, awful to drink straight. Classic cocktail rum.
Genialer Rum für Cuba Libre. Mit Cola und Limette ein Genuß.
Mildly sweet alcohol with sugar cane aroma. Cannot identify much else.
Do mojita nebo Cuba libre dobry. Je dobry presne na to na co je urceny.
It’s slightly better than most white rums but no better than a mixer and cocktails
My go-to mixing rum and one of the only light rums I would recommend to a friend. Makes your Mojito taste like heaven and your Daiquiri will be as smooth like a Tesla driving 100 mph.
Un típico ron blanco, para mi gusto superior al resto de su categoría. Perfecto para combinar en cócteles, sobre todo en mojitos.
5.6? Really? Why are there so many idiots marking this down? It's not meant for drinking straight yes of course it's going to burn it's 3 years old FFS. What this is is the perfect Daiquiri rum and a stunning cocktail ingredient. Drink it as it's meant to be drunk.
Too bitter and citruslike for me.
I dont like it, I like more older rums.
Palate: almost tasteless, just like water, boring.
Young and industrial. Not to compare with elaborated rums.
This rum is not suitable for drinking it alone. But its very good for Mojito. I really like rums from Cuba and this one is a must have if you like Cuban drinks
This is a good rum for mixing with cola and such. But nothing you would drink straight up.
Good cocktail rum. Too harsh a taste when sipped neat.
This rum makes me not to worry that I cannot handle my liquor. Its not bad, but also not really top of the line. It's great though with mojito, but with a coke you just miss that extra something...overall it's ok.
Havana club 3 year old is one of the best white rums for cocktails. Definitely a lot better then bacardi. Havana 3yo is sweet and very smooth rum, but still has a rummy kick in it. Havana 3 yo is my choice as a mixer for cocktails.
