Para ser un ron con poco tiempo de añejamiento, tiene un sabor muy peculiar, suave y rico.

My first experience with 3yr Havana Club was a gifted bottle direct from Cuba. It was a delight with some fruity (peach) notes and a smooth finish. When I replaced it with the locally available 3yr bottle, the difference was immediately evident.

While it wasnt unpleasant, it did not have the same wonderful flavors that were present in the Cuban bottle, but it did share the same smooth finish. I began to experiment with it, and this became my rum of choice for cocktails such as pina coladas.

The lightness/smoothness of the rum helps develop the flavors of the cocktail without overpowering them.

Be careful, you can make some pretty strong concoctions without an obvious alcohol taste! Definitely a staple in my cabinet for hot days and a blender.

works best with coke or rum based cocktails. tastes and smells a lot better than bacardis white rum despite residing in the same price range. you'd really have to love it though if you want to drink it pure - its clearly not meant for that. I'd pick plantations 3-star over it at any time.

Well suited to use as a base for mixing. Tasty, but not quite great.

I usually use this rum for mixing drinks with! It’s a perfect light rum for making a Daiquiri!

First rum before realising there is, you know, good rum. Like it in cocktails.

Simple taste and a bit bitter. Good for mixing with sweet drinks. Pure drinkable but I wouldn't recommend it.

Ideální bílý rum pro míchání s colou. Samostatně příliš ostrý.

It's perfect for all cocktails made by white rum. It's only spirit, very young. Definitely is it not for sipping.

For those of you who are neat sippers this is one white rum with plenty of smooth sweet flavour. The only problem is I could drink it for breakfast and that's not somewhere I want to go!

Well, I was mixing up some Air-mails (the rum variation of the French 75), and I wanted something good-but-not-great, and this came highly recommended.

Good it is, too; but after a neat nip for my mental files, I thought: good choice for a nice cocktail! I have other rums I prefer neat, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Havana Club 3-year old. I filed it with Mount Gay, for style, but gave it one extra star for quality.

Do yourself a favour and mix up some Air-mails (if like me you can stand champagne, alone among wines, for its similarity to cider) ...

1 part honey,
1 part lime juice,
2 parts rum,
(Mix honey etc. now, or drink will go flat — some elbow grease must be applied,)
4 parts sparking white wine.

(Do not drink while wearing socks, because it will knock them off!)
