As much as I appreciate Havana Especial and 7 this one is just a swing and a miss. Really weird all around, would not ecommend. If I wouldn't have any other choice - Mojito is the best for it.
Nah, wouldn't recommend. Not special, better to go for the Bacardi oakhart
Good for mixing when you don't care what you drink on a party.
I don't do reviews....Just want to keep up with my drinking problem....
Sharp taste. Not smooth at all. I drank it pure but I'm also going to taste it with a Coke. It's probably better for mixing!
Ni per combinar, té un sabor molt aspre, q no es pot dissimular
Ok, maybe it was wrong to have any expectation with this one, expecially if intended as a sipping rum. It's a perfectly clear liquid, no shades, no colour.
Well, I'll do It for the science!
Nose: at the very first encouter, alcohol slapped me in the face. Then kicked in a smell of...glue?! Hell yes, it's wallpaper glue! While I was still confused, came in a hint of vanilla for calm down the situation and then... Nothing! Do I really taste It?
Taste: I was prejudiced before opening the bottle. Then I was more prejudiced when I smelled it. It's clear that the taste surely will not thrill me. But when I tasted it...
...no, nothing. The alcohol warmed everything, again It comes the wallpaper glue, some fresh notes of fruit and a the previous hint of vanilla (it seems like the artificial scent of vanilla for pastry!). It come and go whitin a couple of seconds, then the cosmic void. Did I drank something or It was my immagination?!
Notes: the original idea was to use or for mixing and make some mojitos, but after this experience, I'm not so sure anymore...
'intense nose with accents of vanilla, caramelized pears'
"Havana Club 3-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
The nose is very sweet.
"When sipped the rum is fairly smooth but it doesn’t have an abundance of flavour. Its sweet but very short."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It does everything Bacardi Superior does, only better.

It's a smooth rum, very smooth. With not too much burn and a slight wooden finish that makes it a very decent middle point between a gold and white rum. And, while far from perfect (that 7 could easily be a solid 6 or high 5) it might easily become a staple of your liquor cabinet.
