Light vanilla smell. Smooth taste at the beginning, and afterwards wooden strong complexity numbs the upperpart of your mouth. Suits nicely with cigar.

A pricey but excellent rum. A smooth drink with a powerful taste and the right level of sweetness. Not worth it for rum beginners.

Really special taste. Not sweet but it is sweeter than the 7 Year old.

Especially nice because itโs not readily available for US. Nice smooth rocks rum. Will sip it neat next time but uniquely Cuban and always enjoy it.

My new favorite Cuban style rum. All of the taste profile you expect, but with exceptional smoothness. I have not tasted anything quite like this.

Finally I found me a Havana Rum which was good for sipping without mixing it. This one is mmm sweet but not overly sweet and has a pleasant soft taste!

This is a strange one - I get clear notes of Calvados from this! Do not get me wrong - it is good, but--- apple. Mixed in that vanilla and brown sugar notes. Odd.

For some reason Havana Club bought in Cuba or Cuban friendly nations is different than USA. I wouldnโt recommend buying in USA. Now if you get the Cuban version this rum is a delight. Not too sweet but great flavors and very smooth

Prijzige, maar zeer smaakvolle rum. Lichte smaken van gedroogd fruit, rozijnen, kruiden en chocolade. Iets aan de scherpe kant maar toch ook heerlijk zacht. Naar mijn idee een topper!

Itโs good but not exceptional in any way.
Quite weak nose and afterburn.
It got itโs rating because of the smooth and quite complex taste in mouth.
So Iโm not sure itโs pricewhorty.
I will buy me Bottles of Seleccion the Maestros and Union in near future and compere them.

Now I have tasted the Seleccion de Maestros and I must say that the 15yo is not really pricewhorty to a price three doubled the SdM. Itโs of course better cause itโs smoother and doesnโt taste as much alcohol as the SdM. So I wonโt change my rating.
I will in a short time compere it with the Union.
