Bielle comme toujours des produits de qualités agréable au nez et en bouche

Enjoyed a bottle of Rhum Bielle Vieux 2011 4y while vacationing in Guadeloupe. Very slim bottle and label design. Light golden color. Dry Rhum Agricole flavors like grass, citrus and floral notes alongside plenty of oak and vanilla to the nose and palate. Strong burn at the end being so dry. Rhum Agricole lovers can add 2 points to my score.

Origine : Guadeloupe

50 cl
Nez : très fort sur le caramel et les fruits caramélisé
Bouche : Arômes principal de caramel, pain grillé bois brûlé accompagné d’une très longue finale qui rehausse les arômes.

A little Harsh 6 out of 10

No doubt about it, Bielle is one of my favorite Distilleries, but this particular offering is not one of their best. To me, it’s a bit harsh and on the strong side. Mostly oaky, it lacks the subtitles that make Bielle so special. I like the bottle and packaging very much. I’m going to use this for Ti Punch, where I’m sure it will be great. Not a stand alone sipper. Real rating, 6.5 on the Alaska Joe scale
