Sugar: 0-3 GPL. I tasted this rum last evening when my friends returned from Mauritius with a variety of rums for me to sample/have. This white rum surprised me in that it was quite smooth with just a bit of harshness on the finish. Not really a sipper but it's a really good mixing rum where the drink recipe you are using calls for a white rum. In the glass the rum has a distinct grassy aroma a funky bit of something else. (This one had a lemon grass smell to it) Further research into Agricole rums shows that a "grassy" aroma is common. It's fairly smooth going down but it has a medium strength chemical finish to it. I detected a 'Charcoal" type aroma and taste on the end. I would put this well above your bar well white rums of the Captain and Bacardi varieties, which are rums that I avoid. I wouldn't avoid this one as it's definitely drinkable in a mixed drink.

Much smoother than a similar Bacardi white rum, tastes like rum and not coconut juice

very light and fruity, great with coke but pure too.

This is a very delicate white rum with not all that much taste, but what there is, is a bit vegetal-like grass and "green". Sweet spirit, no added sugar.

Not really in line with my tastes for rum. But I will be going back to try some more Mauritian rums
