Karukera 2008 L'expression

J'avais hâte de goûter ce rhum et ma déception fut grande. Nez intéressant mais très peu de saveur et rien ne reste en bouche. Ne vaut absolument la prix demandé (env 130€). Je suis pourtant amateur des rhums karukera, mais celui ci ne me laissera pas un bon souvenir!

Excellent rhum. Très bon nez, belle entrée en bouche et longueur très intéressante. Beau produit de chez Karukera.

Visited the Longueteau Distillery while vacationing in Guadeloupe. Hands down the best distillery tour and completely open tasting bar. Karukera Rhum is distilled at the same location as Longueteau. Karukera used to be the name of this island before it was called Guadeloupe. Karukera l'expression was priced at EUR 47 per bottle at the distillery. Nice old school bottle and label design. Dry Rhum Agricole flavors complemented with grass, spices, citrus fruits and plenty of oak to the nose and palate. Strong burn at the end being so dry. Rhum Agricole fan boys can easily add 2 points to my score.

A beautiful mahogany colour for a very nice rum with very warm notes and pastry. Notes of honey, brown sugar of plum, prune and candied fruits. The mouth is heady and long with a final on spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper. An excellent rum to drink at the end of the evening to enjoy the pleasures of life ;-)
