I like sweet rum as much as the next guy but I think Diplomatico often takes it to extreme. However, if you like sweet and sugary rum this one isnโt too bad with notes of orange, cinnamon and chocolate.

I would say this is a good staple bottle to keep on hand. It has a subtle sweetness of brown sugar and vanilla but retains a good burn which makes it good on the rocks.

It's smooth yet still a bit punchy. It didn't kill the wallet but it's not quite as good as the reserve and I wouldn't go out of my way to drink it.

This is a very good rum if you are into complex flavors and changes. In my opinion, this rum has 3 distinct levels that are very different (front, middle, end). It is a bit on the harsher side for sipping but drinking it and tasting it as it changes is quite fun. Caramel, vanilla, and fruity.

It's okeish rum, but there is a dozen of better rums in this price range

I saw this on the shelf and though why not? I am so glad I did. This compares very nicely with Pampero Anniversario which is one of my favorites.

I can only state, if you like Diplomatico, you will like it, as in my liking it comes close to the regular Reserva.
Itโs sweet with scents of brazil nuts and some butteryness like shortbread. .
"Overall it is a sweet rum. There is a little spice on the palate and a tiny slither of oak. The finish has a little coffee and a touch of caramel. It is smooth and very easy to drink."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Starts with sweet taste, ends dry, feeling oak wood, spicy, bit plum. Maybe to mix within some drinks...
